A Quarter of Progress and Challenges: Indikin Q1 2025 Update.

It’s been a wild first quarter of 2025 for the Indikin team. 

We launched the Indikin native token $INDI, introduced five filmmaker tokens, and rolled out the first iteration of the Indikin Filmmaker Token Index. However, unfortunately an exploit in our chosen rewards token contract $pDAI—entirely outside of our control—forced us to take necessary precautions and dismantle the Filmmaker Token Index in late March 2025. 

Despite this setback, the Indikin project continues to move forward. Here’s an update on our progress.

Key Achievements

  • Successfully launched the Indikin native token $INDI, five filmmaker tokens, and the first iteration of the Indikin Filmmaker Token Index.
  • Grew to 756 holders of Indikin tokens, reaching a peak of $20,000 in liquidity.
  • Published five new films with split-revenue smart contracts to our Rad.live streaming channel.
  • Avoided any significant losses due to the $pDAI exploit. 

Development Progress

  • Completed a successful V1 Index prototyping and testing phase.
  • Launched Indikin.com, a platform showcasing our ecosystem and filmmakers.
  • Initiated the preliminary design phase for Indikin.Stream, our native streaming solution.

Community & Ecosystem Growth

  • Over 1,000 live stream viewers for our Next of Kin weekly events.
  • Welcoming two new filmmakers into the Indikin Filmmaker Program.
  • Over 300 new pieces of content published by Indikin filmmakers across social media.

Financial & Token Updates

  • Due to the $pDAI exploit, significant updates are being made to the Indikin native token and token index.
  • Token supply reduced from 777 billion to 777 million.
  • The V2 native Indikin token will now reward 1% in $PLSX.
  • V1 native Indikin token holders will receive a snapshot of their balance for V2 token distribution before the end of April 2025.
  • Exploration of two new deflationary incentive tokenomics features where: 
  • 1. A portion of the Indikin native token is burned with each new Filmmaker onboarded & 
  • 2. $PLSX accumulated in the Indikin treasury becomes subject to a to be determined burn schedule.  

Roadmap & Next Steps

  • Launch V2 of the native Indikin token.
  • Reconstruct the Indikin Filmmaker Token Index.
  • Onboard new filmmakers and their tokens.
  • Continue publishing Indikin productions to the Indikin Rad.live channel
